latest blog post - the cafe seriesWe were lucky enough to get along to the first of The Cafe Series for 2013. An intimate gig at Cafe Troppo in the city and featuring a stellar line-up of acts, we were suitably blown away by the all-round awesomeness of the set-up. Good food, beautiful location, sweet tunes, great company. Read all about the night here.

prancing pony amber aleThis is liquid love. It's local, it's tasty and it's called prancing pony. Hailing from the Adelaide Hills (Mt Barker to be exact), we seem to have yet another tick to the state in fine brewing. We tried out the amber ale but you can also grab a pale or blonde (ale that is). For a list of stockists check out their website here.

we're spinnin' - arky & the sparrowWe caught this duo in the stripped back and raw atmosphere that is cafe series presented by The Jam Room last week and for only their second gig Arcana and Gemma sure as hell captivated their audience and sang with the spirit of the earth. If you're a fan of Joanna Newsome and Laura Marling then you best check these ladies out. You can fall in love with them on soundcloud.

instagramadelaide - photo of the weekOh North Terrace. There are times when your peak hour traffic makes us frustrated upon belief but it's day like this when we see you looking so damn fine and we remember why it is that we are so lucky to live here. This pic was snapped by @dreamlivelove. To be featured on the Dear Eleanor homepage don't forget to tag your IG photos with #instagramadelaide.

prelude by jonathan vdkSearch the internet and you won't be able to find a huge deal of information on this guy, but you will find some of the most soulful documentary styled photographs you've ever laid eyes on. JVDK recently launched his exhibition 'prelude' at The Annex Cafe, Glenelg and we were drawn to every frame. So much so we even walked away with his photobook. Check out his website here for more.
